Over the last months, the club committee has been working on a number of avenues of how we can further support our athletes and we’re working on a separate website page to highlight these so it’s clear to our members what is available.

Perth and Kinross Sports Council: Perth Strathtay Harriers are an affiliated club to Perth and Kinross Sports council, whose mission statement is to promote sport across Perth and Kinross. As a part of this affiliation, the club members can apply for an Athlete Personal Development Grant.

Live Active Leisure PACES: Perth Strathtay Harriers are a a Gold accredited club in the LiveActive Leisure scheme. This provides a host of benefits to the club from support and advice from the Live Active Sport Development Team, access to lets within Live Active Leisure and Perth and Kinross Council facilities (e.g. PACES is required for booking a hall / court), eligibility to apply for funding from Live Active Sport and Perth & Kinross Sports Council, opportunity to work with Active Schools Co-ordinators to support school to club links, promotion through our online media and campaigns such as the Perth and Kinross Sports Awards and free places on Child Protection and Wellbeing and First Aid courses.
Perth Strathtay Harriers Development Fund: This a new offer that the club has agreed in 2026. The aim of the fund is to provide assistance to athletes to improve their athletic performance and to provide help to any club member needing financial support to help them compete for the club. Awards are based against performance level and made at the discretion of the approval group. Details can be found of the club fund document. Development Fund Final Version
Scottish Athletics: The governing body provides a list of benefits as a part of their membership, so for any club member who is competing and has a Scottish Athletics membership you can access these. Examples of these are
- Receive FREE access to the Endurance Zone member reward platform with discounts from global brands and leading retailers in sport, leisure & lifestyle
- A 15% discount on orders over £30 Runderwear performance running underwear
- A 20% discount on the Aftershokz range of bone-conducting sports headphones and LED Lenser headtorches
- Edinburgh Leisure Reduced Fee: Present proof of your Scottish Athletics membership at one of their venues reception to sign up for their membership discount.
- 10% discount at active X – specialising in: Osteopathy, Sports & Remedial Massage, Back Pain Rehab Course and Postural Analysis.
- 10% discount at The Watch Strap Store, an online retailer of watch straps.
