Yesterday saw pupils from across the country take to the track and field for the Scottish Schools combined events championships and Perth Strathtay athletes were out representing their schools.

Under 14 girls Quad event:

The under 14 girls competed in 4 events 100m / Shot Put / Long Jump / 600m

Hannah Round (Bertha Park High School) – fresh from her silver medal winning performance at the relay championships the day before – took a great 4th place with a total of 1993 points (13.35 seconds, 7.79m, 3.61m, 1:47.71).

Sophie Cassie (Perth High School) took 28th place with 1558 points (15.68 seconds, 5.69m, 3.85m, 1:48.29)

Emily Jones (Perth High School) too 39th place with 1437 points (14.47 seconds, 5.93m, 3.76m, 2:06.75)

Kezi Swift (Bertha Park High School) took 44th with 1363 points (15.67 seconds, 5.08m, 3.38m 1:50.94)

Under 14 Boys Quad Event:

The under 14 boys competed in 4 events 100m / Shot Put / Long Jump / 600m

Callum Cassie (Perth High School) took a great 12th place with 1718 points (15.08 seconds, 6.59m, 3.94m, 1:47.92)

Findlay Walsh (Perth High School) took 23rd place with 1580 points (14.95 seconds, 4.87m, 3.76m, 1:49.32)

Alex Hilton (Perth High School) took 27th place with 1570 points (15.24 seconds, 4.91m, 3.41m, 1:46.08)

Andreas Reid (Perth High School) took 31st place with 1476 point (15.36 seconds, 5.09m, 3.98m, 1:59.27)

Under 16 Girls Pentathlon:

The under 16 girls competed in 80m hurdles, high jump, long jump, shot put, 800m

Sylvia Reid (Perth High School) took 36th place with 1207 points (17.10 seconds, 1.12m, 3.33m, 4.14m, 3:04.04)
