This weekend saw the Scottish National Indoor Championships for Under 20s, 16s and 14s take place at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow and Perth Strathtay Harriers were represented well, with great performances across the board.

Gabi Whyte took another indoor national title as she fought all the way to the line in the Under 16 girls 1500m gold. A time of 4:47.29 enough for first place in a photo finish for the medals.

Her gold was the first of 2 medals for Perth Strathtay Harriers as Hannah Round took 200m bronze, with a personal best time of 27.32 seconds in the under 14 girls event. Hannah had earlier powered home for 4th place in the 60m with team mate Emily Jones 7th. Emily secured a new Personal best (8.60 seconds) and also made the semi finals of the 200m. Harriet Gibb, 60m, made the semi finals. showing the great depth of talent in our sprints squad. 
In the under 16 boys 60m, Kostas Jakubiak ran a personal best in the semi final of 8.21 secs.
In the under 16 girls 200m Sophia Lowe set a new personal best of 27.71 seconds on the way to making the semi final. In the 60m Sophia also made the semi finals, again with a personal best of 8.47 seconds and rounded off a busy day with a Long jump of 3.73m.
Callum Cassie in the Under 14 boys high jump took 9th place and followed this with a solo 800m run just outside his best time for 5th place (2:29.90) while in the Under 14 girls high jump, Sophie Cassie also took 9th place.
