This weekend is a busy weekend for our athletes and it kicked off in Glasgow at the Inter-District Cross Country Championships. 7 members of our distance group were selected to represent East Scotland and as always – they did us proud!

In the Under-13 Girls, Gabi Whyte raced home for 2nd place in a time of 11 minutes 29 seconds, while Kezi Swift claimed 11th in a tight finish (12 minutes 7 seconds). These results helped the East U13 girls win on the day!

In the Under-13 Boys Alex Hilton took 6th place, again in a very close finish (11 minutes 3 seconds) and Callum Cassie took 31st place with 12 minutes 2 seconds. These results took East U13 boys to 2nd on the day.

In the Under-15 Boys Tom Hilton 8th (13 minutes 59 second) and Findlay Bell was 15th (14 minutes 23 seconds). These results supported the East U15 boys to the win on the day!

In the Under-17 Men Ross Allan came home for 19th position (21 minutes 3 seconds).

To have so many selected to represent East Scotland is fantastic and is testament to the hard work our athletes and coaches are putting in. Well done.

Former members Rose Ryan (Perth RR) and Iain Jordan (Strathclyde University) were also racing. Rose came home for 34th place in 31 minutes 55 seconds and Iain was 31st in 26 minutes 24 second. Well done to both, it’s fantastic to see you both completing well!
