We’ve made it to the weekend again and the weather looks like it’s going to hold just long enough for anyone looking to ParkRun tomorrow!
Perth ParkRun are planning to meet as normal at the North Inch for event #530. If you’ve never done this before, event detail can be found on the website ⇒ https://www.parkrun.org.uk/perth and on the Facebook page. But stay close to their communications, if the floodgates are closed then the event may be cancelled.
If you fancy getting out and trying some of the other Perth and Kinross ParkRuns, why not check out:
- Aberfeldy – The FeldyRoo Fitness Trail is a very friendly event run on a cracking, 3 loop run on a mix of path and grass at the river side. This will be event #15 ⇒ https://www.parkrun.org.uk/feldyroofitnesstrail/
- Pitlochry – Faskally Forrest is another friendly event set in beautiful woodland on a trail path. Great shelter from the weather whether it’s glorious sunshine or heavy rain, during this 3 loop course and some challenging hills. This will be event #197 ⇒ https://www.parkrun.org.uk/faskallyforest/
- Loch Leven – 2 laps around the field at Loch Leven Larder, set to a back drop of the loch. Mainly gravel path with some small sections on grass. Some amazing encouragement from the volunteers here ⇒ https://www.parkrun.org.uk/lochleven/
Parking is very accessible at all 3 of these events and they all great options for meeting after for a coffee! These events cannot happen with the support of volunteers so if you can, why not look into helping out.
It’s always great to see the bright orange T-Shirts of Perth Strathtay going round the courses, so make sure your supporting yours and showcase the club! You can also do this, by adding Perth Strathtay Harriers to your profile. To do this you should:
- Sign in to your ParkRun profile
- Scroll to the “Groups” menu
- Click this option and in the search bar type “Perth Strathtay Harriers”
- Save the group, and each time you ParkRun the club will appear next to your name.
