A MASSIVE good luck to all the Perth Strathtay Harriers competing at the National Age group championships over the weekend in Aberdeen.

Looking forward to seeing your results coming through!

First up for the day was Sasha Clark in the Under 15 girls 100m heats. A fabulous personal best of 13.90 seconds saw her into the semi finals, where she followed it up with a 14.09 seconds. This was not enough to make the final running into a strong headwind, she was unlucky not to have taken her PB down further but still quicker than her old PB.

Sasha followed this up with a solid run in the 200m heats, qualifying to the semi finals with a time of 29.15 seconds. This just outside her PB but into a very strong headwind again (-2.5 m/s). Her semi final run of 29.05 was enough for 6th place, from the outside lane. 4 really good runs from Sasha today and more personal best times could come before the end of the season. Well done Sasha!

2nd Perth athlete up was Straun Gatherer in the Under 20 800m. a time of 2:05.69 in the heats was not enough to make the final but great to see Straun out competing, in what has been a tough summer.
