The weather just about held it together for the Perth throwers today at Grangemouth Stadium, for match 3 of the Scottish Athletics Throws Grand Prix.

In the seniors, Javelin Pool 1 was led by Jack Moncur with a throw of 51.00m while Lauryn Wood was first female with a best throw of 28.95m. Both have been throwing well in training and frustrated not to have achieved more today. In the discus it was also a frustrating morning for Hollie Walker who had 3 no throws. Days like this happen and all 3 will produce great distances before the end of the season.

In Pool 2 of the Javelin, Callum Cassie was up close to his best with 21.79m, and was ranked number 1 for his age group on the day. This coming after he set a new personal best in the discus with a throw of 13.93m. This half metre improvement will push Callum up into the top 10 in Scotland in what has been a great season for him, flourishing in a number of events.
