This weekend was the first of this seasons championships as Perth Strathtay Harriers headed back to Aberdeen for the East Districts.

Gabi Whyte repeated her 2025 results by taking a double gold in the 800 and 1500m. The Under 16 raced to a personal best of 2:18.91 in the 800m and 4:50.80.

Ruairidh Hood took his first championship title winning the 800m in 2:15.05. He also had a solid 8th place in the 1500m with 4:38.85.

Sasha Clark was the third of the Perth Strathtay medallists when she picked up a silver in the Under 16 girls 300m. Her 45.98 seconds a great run and a seasons best. This run coming after she took 5th place in the 100m (a personal best  of 13.84 seconds) and wind assisted 13.10 seconds in her heat.

Elsa Campbell was also racing the Under 16 Girls 300m and personal best of 47.66 seconds for 4th place.

Sofia Lowe kept her great season going with a wind assisted 100m heat time of 13.19 seconds and her 13.74 seconds in the final was enough for 4th place.

In the under 14 categories athletes were not racing for titles but performance standards. Taking part in Run, Jump, Throw is the vision for all athletes under 14, athletes were allowed to compete in up to 3 events and were awarded points for their results.

Hannah Round ran her first sub 13 second 100m as she finished 2nd in her heat with (12.97) and broke the 27 second barrier in her 200m (26.93) again for 2nd place.

Harriet Gibb also took a big personal best in the 100m (14.01) for 6th place in her heat, and took 11th place in the long jump (3.57m).

Sophie Cassie had a personal best in the 800m for 3rd place in her heat (2:33.26), a personal best 1.33m in the high jump for 6th place and 5.85m in the shot.

Callum Cassie took 4th place in his 800m heat (2:35.02), 1.23m for 6th in the high jump and a personal best in javelin (23.54m).

Kezi Swift had a personal best of 5:01.85 for her 1500m for 3rd place, a personal best of 18.13m in the javelin for 3rd place and a personal best in the discus of 12.21m for 2nd place.

Leo McMahon raced to win the under 14 boys 1500m with 20 second winning margin (4:39.49).
