Yesterday saw the best of Scottish sprinters take to the track at Crownpoint – Glasgow for the GAA Sprints Gala. In the 60m Owen Leonard opened his season with a photo finish 2nd place (6.97 seconds). This time is just outside of his personal best and is hopefully a sign of great things to come

Yesterday saw the first of the Scottish Athletics Throws Grand Prix matches at Grangemouth and the Perth Strathtay throws group were out in force. In Javelin  1 Jack Moncur continued his start to the season with a 47.83m to win the men’s group while Lauryn Wood threw 28.32m for 3rd place in the ladies group.
