Dear Club Members,

The Perth Strathtay Harriers committee are calling a Special General Meeting on Tuesday, September 2nd 2025 to be held at the George Duncan Athletics Arena, at 18:45, which all members are invited. The purpose of this meeting to hold a vote to 2 matters.

Why are we calling this meeting?

At our last AGM there was discussion around voting rules within the club and who could vote on matters at an AGM. It was agreed that as an action, this would be reviewed by the committee. The committee has reviewed these and is ready to propose changes.

What will the votes be for?

Members will be asked to vote on 2 matters.

  1. Changing the Club Constitution
  2. New Club Membership Policy

Why can we not wait until the Annual General Meeting to vote on these matters?

The proposed changes to the Constitution and membership rules will allow more people who are active in the club, the right to vote. Making this proposal now gives those active in the club time to be members under the proposed new rules ahead of the next AGM – should the proposals be accepted.

What are the changes?

Current members will receive an email closer to the time with the relevant documents and proposed changes. There will be an online form for any questions, ahead of the meeting and website will be kept up to date with the Qs and As.

Who will be able to vote at the meeting?

Existing voting rules can be found in the Club Constitution –  Club Policies are in the news section of the website.

Look our for further details via email and we look forward to seeing you on the night.
